NewWay Hospitality Group

Established in 2017, NewWay Hospitality Group advises leading hospitality owners, operators, and suppliers worldwide, delivering strategic procurement and advisory solutions that enhance asset performance, protect margins, and support long-term value creation.

The firm is led by Mubashar (MO) Shahab, an accomplished global hospitality executive with over 25 years of experience across procurement, operations, and commercial strategy within premium and luxury hospitality environments. Mubashar holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Guelph (Canada), an Associate Degree from Bergen Community College, and has completed advanced executive education, including MCIPS certification and the Dale Carnegie Executive Leadership Program.

Prior to founding NewWay Hospitality Group, Mubashar served as Vice President, Global Procurement at Accor, where he was responsible for driving procurement transformation across one of the world’s largest hospitality portfolios. He previously held senior leadership roles at FRHI Hotels & Resorts International (Fairmont, Swissôtel, and Raffles), where, as Executive Director and Head of Global Procurement, he established global procurement governance frameworks, delivered multi-region synergies, and created regional procurement clusters to unlock scale efficiencies while preserving brand integrity.

Mubashar also served for more than a decade on the Avendra Advisory Board, North America’s leading hospitality procurement platform, supporting over 5,000 hotels and managing more than $5 billion in contracted spend. Earlier in his career, he held senior commercial and procurement roles with blue-chip organizations including Avendra, Hudson’s Bay Company, Ingram Micro, and General Mills, further strengthening his cross-sector perspective on value creation and operational excellence.
